Description
The artwork
Corpus Femina XIII
The creation took place in a studio. Fanny, my favorite muse, was the star of this story.
While Fanny practiced her poses and exhibited the same finesse and strength , I was working on the lighting.
At the time, the media was full of discussions about the many procedures women undergo to look “eternally young.”
I realized that while we can delay aging, we cannot stop it. Therefore, I was inspired to summarize both youth and aging in a single work. To achieve this, I used digital technology.
Using multiple projection overlays, I was able to superimpose an aging process over Fanny’s original photograph.
The texture of the image – an intricate network of cracks – was derived from a photograph of a wall with small and large cracks created by the age of the building.
It paralleled the inescapable progression of time and reflected how beauty transforms rather than diminishes with age.
Ultimately, “Corpus Femina XIII” became more than just a sculpture; it was a statement about the fluidity of time and the grace of maturity.Through Fanny’s eternal grace and the juxtaposed texture of aging, the artwork invites viewers to contemplate the complex layers of beauty and celebrate the inevitability of the seasons of life.
The artwork will be shipped in a sealed cardboard box and covered with bubble plastic film. The certificate, which accompanies the artwork, is also in the sealed box.
